One correction was made to reflect the DNR reps last name spelling as (Altera). A motion to accept the minutes as revised was made by Ken Schmitt 2nd by Dave Mendel.

Treasures report: No Report

Notes of interest:

** May guest speaker will be Mike McCullen.

** The Chapter outing will be held at Cass Lake on September 11-14th.

Old Business:

  • Buffalo MN seminar at the senior housing unit will be held with several members providing information on different subjects.
  • Lake Alexander and Shaminuea will be on 4/26. If the ice is still on the lake, we will meet and do the accesses.
  •  Eric Kohn has not seen the grant money yet and will cover the costs for Big Brothers Big Sisters and turn in receipts.
  • Wal-Mart has temporarily stopped the Take a Kid Fishing program and will not be providing any equipment for Big Brothers Big Sisters this year. There may have been something in the paper saying that the event was open to the public. That is not true.
  • Ken Schmitt has spoken with Larry about the fund-raiser plans.
  • Mike Ruff made a suggestion the last month to purchase some of Mark Windels lures. The Board will hold off for now until review of the inventory is confirmed and the necessity increases.
  • Aaron Meyer knows some folks from the Sauk River Chain. Should the Chapter join the association? It might look better and not so bold to have individual members join and not tie the Chapter name into it.
  • January 19th is confirmed that Greg Thomas will be the guest speaker.
  • Fund-raiser tickets sold to date: 178 Adult and 14 Children. We have 62 tip board items, $450.00 in Cash Donations.

New Business:

-                                  The t-shirt gal sent a photo asking if the Chapter is still interested in a vented shirt. Price was $45.00 with our logo. Mike will look into it.

-                                  Ken Smith will represent the Chapter at Sportsman’s Warehouse on 5/3. He will have his boat there. Mike Ruff will be in the store after the Big Brothers Big Sisters event.

-                                  Lake Shamenuea Association meeting is on Memorial weekend. Can we give two or three lures to go towards donations? Mike and Ken Schmitt will look for some.

-                                  May seminar speaker is Mike McCullen. We need a big crowd Lets advertise. The Chapter is buying $150.00 of wholesale baits and giving $100.00 for expenses.

-                                  Next year if we don’t have a program director, each board member will be responsible for finding someone to do a month.

-                                  Mark Windels is now making a magnum bucktail. Our Chapter received several and will be sold tonight for $15.00 each. They will retail for at least $20.00.

-                                  Special raffle tonight. Dave made a motion that the item be our large net. Motion was 2nd by Ken Schmitt and passed.

-                                  MI Spring Board meeting: Four main motions were up for vote. 1st to allow Title Town Chapter in to MI passed. 2nd State of Washington has 1 muskie club. 3rd MI will put aside $2000.00 each year for the next Symposium in 2016.
